SnapSteps is a macOS application distributed through the Mac App Store. By downloading or using it you agree to these terms.

License

SnapSteps is licensed to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. The license is for use on Macs you own or control, as permitted by the Mac App Store terms.

Free tier and the Pro purchase

The app is free to download and free to use: unlimited manuals, unlimited editing, every capture and annotation tool. Your first export is clean; after that, exported documents carry a small "Made with SnapSteps" footer line, and JSON export always stays unrestricted. SnapSteps Pro is a one-time in-app purchase (no subscription) that removes the footer line permanently. The purchase is processed by Apple and can be restored on your other Macs signed into the same Apple Account.

Your content

Everything you create with SnapSteps - screenshots, step text, exported documents - is yours. Manuals are stored in a documented open format on your own disk, so your work remains readable without the app. You are responsible for the content of the manuals you create and share.

Refunds

Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds follow Apple's Mac App Store refund process at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Warranty and liability

SnapSteps is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law.
